No customer service

I got a credit alert from CSID. I tried to get on their site with a correct username and a correct password. That did not work so I looked on their site for a telephone number but could not find one for customer service. I entered correct information for them to send me a password reset but did not get a password reset. I looked at the email they sent me advising of a credit alert and called it. I never reached a live person after being 8 minutes on hold waiting for one.

What good if credit protection when you can't even reach the company to review or get help from their customer service...especially when they advise you of a problem?

In summary, I would not recommend CSID to a friend.

We got the low bid (in a no bid contract)

Terrible company. Typical low bid government contractor.

The email for their privacy policy questions does not work.

My unanswered questions were:

1. When you merge with another company or are acquired, what
privacyrequirement will transfer to the new company? The sentence belows
implies this becomes data that increases the value of your firm, would go
to the new company, and does not say anything about restriction. As the
fate of most small firms is either bankrupty or acquitision, what
guarnatees do we have that our data will truly be safe when you become part
of another company?.


- In addition, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or any form of
sale of some or all of our assets to a third party, we may also disclose
your personal information to the third parties concerned or their
professional advisors. In the event of such a transaction, the personal
information held by CSID will be among the assets transferred to the buyer.


2. Your privacy policy says

1. We will keep your personal information only as long as we need it for
the purposes for which we collected it, or as required... (Read the full review)

In summary, I would not recommend CSID to a friend.

Tired of the wait

I have been calling for 4 days and after a total of 5 hours and 28 minutes I have had enough. If the employees can not handle 4 million register requests, Not many people will sign up after the news corrected the number to 14 million.

I will not be a customer of this company.

In summary, I would not recommend CSID to a friend.

Don't waste your time! Spent 4+ hours trying to register.

This company is a joke! I have spent the last four hours trying to register. Online registration unsuccessful due to invalid PIN, which was provided by them. yes, I typed it correctly!

Call to support advised of a 60 minute wait time. I selected the option for callback "in the order your call was received." No call back received after 1.5 hours.

Second call to support advised 73 minute wait time. Stayed on hold and when call was finally answered by non native english speaker, call was disconnected as soon as I began to talk.

Web profile on company says 1-5 employees! Not sure how current this info is, but they sure are not prepared to handle the 4 million customers affected by the OPM data breach.

As I said, don't waste your time. Instead, call you Congressman and/or Senator and request their help. If they get enough calls, maybe they will hold someone at OPM accountable for this mess.

In summary, I would not recommend CSID to a friend.
